I have gotten to know Leslie Thuang this year as a student as my teacher

assistant. What strikes me most about Leslie is her attention to detail and her
calm, purposeful attitude. When Leslie sets out to do something, she
accomplishes it.
In addition to meeting the expectations of rigorous AP courses, Leslie is involved
within the community. She is an active member of pacific club, Asian club, CSF
(California Scholarship Federation), pro-life club, and French club, of which she
was the secretary. She volunteers as an AVID tutor and an academic mentor, two
separate programs on our campus. Additionally, she was awarded most
improved in cross-country.
Amidst all of the responsibilities and demands in Leslies life, she is able not only
to balance but to excel in every activity in which she is involved. I attribute this to
excellent time management and and a firm determination to be her best.
Without fail, Leslie enters my classroom and asks how she can help me, and she
frequently goes above and beyond her duties to organize and be productive. This
signifies an innate, selfless motivation that is rare among high school students.
Leslies resolve is extraordinary, and her pleasant personality only makes her a
more becoming candidate. It is my pleasure to recommend to you Leslie Thuang,
