To Whom It May Concern:

Leslie Garcia was a student in the Counseling 116 Online College Course that I teach at
Nova Early College High School. Leslie has also taken the UCI Physics Course for freshman
college students as a junior at Nova. Leslie has demonstrated growth in the area of personal
responsibility and self-motivation toward learning. An example of her scholastic commitment
was the seen during her freshman and senior years when she qualified for the Principals Honor
Roll (only students with a 4.0 G.P.A. qualify). During her sophomore and junior year, she
qualified for the High Honor Roll (students with a 3.5 to a 3.99 G.P.A. qualify) Leslie has also
participated in the College Initiative Program at Nova which helps students to prepare for the
SAT and ACT college entrance tests. Another program, Leslie participated in that was known as
the Pimco Tools for Tomorrow Program, which enables students to learn about business and
personal financial responsibility was yet another example of her desire to develop her skills for
future success. These accomplishments are evidence of her strong character qualities that will
prove to be valuable in setting and accomplishing goals which I believe Leslie will be prepared
for in the future.
Leslie is also one of our Ambassadors. She has participated in volunteering her time and
talents to the local elementary school working with children. I would highly recommend Leslie
as a person who demonstrates high standards for herself. She is a hard-working individual who
will be very successful in the future.
