Writing Reflection
Even though we were not physically in class last week, I learned a lot on my own through
writing my Wikipedia entry and my podcast outline. As I wrote my Wikipedia entry, I found it
difficult to sound formal and informative while discussing the analyzations the scientists had on
their own experiment. At times it felt like I was analyzing their analysis rather than discussing
the facts. Thus, I learned to separate my opinion and analysis from the facts more efficiently in
order to provide a very informative entry for my audience. I plan on exercising this more as I edit
my first draft and write my second draft. This past week I also learned while writing my podcast
outline how difficult it can be to write about those you have a close relationship with and know
very well. Even though my connections make for more accurate observations, its hard to discuss
certain things honestly without feeling mean or critical. Therefore, I learned to remove the bias
from my observations and plan on providing an honest but kind podcast.
