ABSTRACT
The purpose of the study was to determine the extent to which a mentor-mentee
programme could be effective in helping resolve the problem of weak students poor
ability in labeling and memorising the structure of the human heart. The respondents
consisted of 16 students from Form 3 Kreatif who obtained the lowest marks for
Science in the previous semester examination. The data for this study was collected
using pre- and post-tests. The results showed that 13 students achieved significantly
higher marks in the post-test as compared to the pre-test. There were two
respondents who obtained full marks, showing tremendous improvement in their
performance in the post-test. The results of the study showed that the mentormentee programme is effective to a large extent in aiding weak students label and
memorize the structure of the human heart.
