Module 1:
Plan the Cash Examination
Module Description:
This module is divided into two parts. It being the 1 st module of the course, we have
included a getting-to-know-you activity which we are calling Virtual Name Tag.
Before you go directly to the technical sessions, it is nice to see who your online
classmates are and be able to talk to them.
The second part of the module will cover the following aspects:
Planning the conduct of cash examination
o Objectives of cash examination
o Describing the process flows for collections and disbursements
o Preparing an audit program to plan for the conduct of cash examination
o
Module objectives:
By the end of this module, you will be able to
Get acquainted with the other online participants and increase your interaction
with them; and
Prepare an audit program for the conduct of cash examination that has all the
components and/or elements, as discussed in the revised cash examination
manual.

This module also contains discussion questions on the two discussion forum (for
