Introduction :
We the students of Sethu Institute of Technology , pulloor
Kariyapatti had gone implant training on 26-11-2014 to 2-12-2014 about
Hydraulic Pressing , Lathe Shop , mainly Oil seal production.

Hydraulic Pressing :
Part name : Oil seal
Compound name : Latex rubber
Type of Press : T D Press

Parts on Hydraulic Pressing :

Cylinder
RAM
Mould plate
Ejector system
Air gun

Working :
It is an electric press.
Operated on Hydraulic Oil.
It is a two side operating process.

 It consist maximum number of mould cavities from 16 to 20

cavities.
It works under the process of Thermal process.
Its Heating temperature is 463K.
Its Compressed air pressure is 150atm.
All Hydraulic pressing have Ejecting type.
It has both manual and automatic operation.
Its curing time is 6minutes.

Merits :
All types of Lathe machines , Milling machines are available.
Manufacturing of Hydraulic machines are easily done in a given
period.
Skilled labours work on lathe machines.
Technical knowledge can be gained easily from experienced
labours.

Demerits :
Production area is not cleaned properly.
Leakage of Oil in Hydraulic machines must be controlled.
Fire extinguisher must be needed incase of sudden fire accident.
Labours must be provided with face mask when labours work in
Hydraulic machine , due to smoke evolved when Oil seal is
ejected.
Wear insulating shoes to prevent electrical shock.
