Work Experience:

Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance and over hauling of rotating

equipment’s such as centrifugal and screw pumps, reciprocating and screw compressor, gear
box, Rotary valves and static equipment’s. And refurbishment of mechanical seals and feeders.
Also I know well shut down works like blinding, de-blinding, vessel and column cleaning,
filter house cleanings, heat Exchanger cleaning and testing’s, having experience in extruder unit
at poly ethylene plant.

PUMP:

I have experience in maintenance and overhauling of Single Stage Pumps like back
pull out, loop reactor pumps and high speed (sundyne) pumps, magnetic pumps (seal less
type), positive displacement pumps (screw type gear type).

Check the clearances.

Visually inspect any scratches or cracks on the pump parts.
Removal and reinstall bearings.
Replace the mechanical seal.
Refurbishment of mechanical seal (Single&Double seal)
Shaft alignment (laser type)
SCREW COMPRESSORS:

Preventive maintenance and complete overhauling of compressor. Used for

powder transfer compressor, Nitrogen, Air compressors. Removal and assembly of Male and
Female screws.

Inspection of Screws, Bearings, Timing gears. (Aerzener)

Change the bearings and seal.
Assemble the screws and gears within the clearance limit.

MECHANICAL SEAL:

A cartridge type mechanical seal is a pre-assembled package of seal components

making installation much easier with fewer points for potential installation errors to occur.
The assembly is “pre-set” so that no installed length calculations must be performed for
determining where to set the seal. This pre-set is achieved by the use of “set tabs” that are
removed once the seal is installed and the pump assembled.

GEAR BOXES:

Preventive maintenance and complete overhauling of speed up and down gear box,
bearing changing, gear changing, backlash checking.

GAS TURBINES:

GE – Frame 6-42 MW – Single shaft generator driven carried out combustion

chamber and hot gas path of GE [Frame 6] gas turbine. Under guideness of turbine
engineers. Assembly, disassembly and inspection of turbine blades, vane segments, compressor
diaphragms, combustors, transition piece and fuel nozzles. Bearing changing, oil circuit,
compartment cooling equipment maintenance and alignment of turbine inter stage seals. Axial
flow air compressor vane changing, combustion chamber burner changing, oil checking,
starting motor change, gear box servicing, bearing checking and fitting.

H2S SAFETY:

Hydrogen sulfide is a highly flammable hazardous gas that occurs naturally in crude
petroleum and natural gas. Hydrogen sulfide’s effect on individuals varies depending
on the levels of exposure. Low concentrations cause irritation of the eyes, nose, throat
and respiratory system. This reaction can be delayed.
Moderate concentrations cause more severe eye and respiratory effects, headache,
dizziness, nausea, vomiting, coughing and difficulty breathing.
 High concentrations can lead to shock, convulsions and inability to breathe. In some
instances, high levels of exposure can lead to coma and death. This effect can take place
very rapidly, after only a few breaths.
