INVESTIGATION AND PROSECUTION UNIT (D5)

Background
Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is the most important Department in Royal
Malaysian Police (RMP) force. It focuses on criminal investigation, collecting intelligence,
surveillance, arresting, raiding, inspection and prosecution any matters relating with crime in
our country. There are many units in the CID which is start from unit D1 until D13. Every unit
has their own task and will headed by one police officer rank of Deputy Superintendent of
Police (DSP) with some officers and men.
D5 is one of the units in the CID and myself is the head of this unit. D5 responsible for
investigation, prosecution and legal about crime matters in the whole state. We have 4
officers and 8 police personnel in the unit and our office is at Police Headquarters in Jalan
Badruddin, Kuching.
Vision
To become a respect and reliability unit in CID
Mission
To give a legal advice to any people accordingly and to monitor about investigation and
prosecution aspect according with law and a police regulation.
Objective
To provide a legal advises to all of police personnel in doing their duty to follow a law
accordingly. We will guide them and answer their question about law to suit with their
practical on the ground.
