Standard: Standard Six Learning Environment: Teachers shall understand individual and group
motivation and behavior and shall create a supportive, safe and respectful learning environment
that encourages positive social interaction, active engagement in learning and self-motivation
Observation one is being placed under Standard six because it deals with the environment
created in the classroom by the students and teacher. You see the layout Miss Cells has it under
that she believes is best for her teaching needs. It focuses on the location more and how it can
influence the education on the students. Having them mixed in groups allows Ms Cella who can
work in groups and who might need more attention. She has created a safe learning environment
for her first graders.
