    arethesiltloamandthefinesandyloam.Thedifferencebetweensilt,loamandsandyloamisthe
    percentagepassingthenumber200Sieve.Also,thesandyloamhasasiltyhighersandcontactandthe
    depthfrostsieveis36in.Thefoundationisgoingtobeplacedinthefinesandyloam.(Alshammari)
    Therearethreekindsoffoundationsthatwillbeconsideredwhichare:

    2. Spreadfooting
    3. TheGeosyntheticReinforcedSoilIntegratedBridgeSystem
    1) Thepile
    Itisalongslenderfoundationmemberwhichispreparedbytimber,steelandconcrete.Itis
    constructedasdrivenpilesorcastinsitupiles.Itisusedtotransfertheloadfromstructuretorequired
    depthindeepfoundation.Ithasverygoodloadcarryingcapacity.Vertical,lateralorbothloadsare
    carriedbythepiles.

    2) TheSpreadFooting
    Itisrectangularinshapeandismadefromconcrete.Ithaslargecrossdimensionsfromthe
    constructingwallorcolumnitsupport.Thistypeoffoundationisusedtodistributetheloadfromwalls
    orcolumntothesubgrade.

    3) GeosyntheticReinforcedSoilIntegratedBridgeSystem(GRSIBS)
    Itisatypeofbridgethatusesalternatinglayersofcompactedgranularfillandgeosynthetic
    reinforcementtosupportthebridge.Thebridgeconsistsofthreemaincomponents:thereinforcedsoil
    foundation,theabutment,andtheintegratedapproach.Thistypeofbridgeisanewinnovationthatis
    costeffective,easytoconstruct,andmoretoleranttosettlement.(Daniel,2016)

    1. Aestheticsoveralllookofthebridge.
    2. Constructabilityoveralleaseofbuildingthebridge.
    3. Costinitial/longtermoverallcostofthebridge.
    4. Maintenancefrequencyofneededrepairsandothermaintenanceonbridge.
    5. Safetyprotectionagainstearthquakes,wind,etc.
    6. Accesseaseofaccessingtobuild.
    Eachdesignwasratedonourcurrentthoughtsandwillupdateasweknowmore.Eachwas
    ratedfrom1to5and5beingthebest.(Daniel,2016)
