Purpose

The purpose of this PRC is to present an outline of the activities sequence and department/personnel
responsabilities for detail design of a facility.

Scope

This PRC establishes the outline approach for Detail Design.


This PRC broadly indicates the activities sequencing and department/personnel involved with detail
design.
The method is the standard for Algeria Engineering and applies to all business units.

Definitions

Concptual Design is the phase of a project during which the essential design parameters are established
and optimized. The principle objectives are to develop the necessary flow schemes, layout, weight and
cost data to a sufficient level of detail for the client to sanction the project.
The detail design phase of a project is the period during which the design of all systems and facilities is
progressed to an "Approved for Construction" status. This phase also normally includes the specification
and procurment of all necessary equipment and materials.
