ABSTRACT
Gastroenteritis in children must be highlighted into the right attention, Gastroenteritisis a condition of abnormal
defecating conditions or more than 3 times a day consists of liquid feces and also followed or not by bloods and
mucus due to inflammation process in intestines and gastrointestinal area. If Gastroenteritis in children not handled
properly then this condition might lead to death. From the data at RS TK II Dr. AKA. Gani Palembang stated that
the number of deaths caused by Gastroenteritis in 2014 was 194 cases.
The purpose of this study was to obtain the real image of how to implement Nursing Care in children who had
Gastroenteritis.
The report in this Scientific Paper was using interview, observation, physical check up, measurement, book source
and descriptive source. This Scientific study was located at RS. TK II Dr. AK. Gani Palembang , subject in this
study was a child with initial A who had Gastroenteritis case, the duration for this study from 16 18 February
2015.
After the conduction of Nursing Care for 3 days, the writer found experiences and real image of Children Nursing
Care with Gastroenteritis case.
There was gap between case and theoretical such as on assessment, found that body temperature was not increasing
but based on theoretical the body temperature was increasing, on theoretical there was irritation whereas there was
no irritation found, on theoretical found the changes in activity patterns whereas on assessment there was no changes
in activity pattern.
