Objectives:

- to match the grapheme cards to form at least 5 words correctly.


- to blend two phonemes into recognizable words and read aloud with the correct
pronunciation.
Set induction (5 min)

Presentation (20 min)


1. Pupils paste the picture cards on the board
2. Teacher says the word.
3. Pupils imitate teacher to read aloud the words
4. Teacher distributes grapheme cards to pupils randomly.
5. Teacher says the phoneme and the pupils with related grapheme cards raises it.
6. Pupils with the related grapheme cards come to the front of the board to form a
word.
7. Teacher repeats the activity with other words. .

Practice (15 min)


1. Teacher models the jazz chant.

1. Pupils listen to teachers instruction to complete the task.
2. Pupils find the words, circle the words and write.
3. Pupils underline the words with the ew sound and the oe sound
4. Pupils group the words which have same grahemes.
5. Pupils total the number of words with ew and oe sounds.

Closure (5 min)
1. Pupils recap the vocabulary learnt.
Pupils read aloud the word cards that pasted on the board.
