Reminders & Notes:

It is important that students are reading 20 minutes per night. Students can fill out their book it reading log and
bring back for a prize
Front Row is a great math and reading practice resource that all students have access to. The username will be
their name and the class code is vanwoe. This is a great tool to practice math and reading skills!
I have sent home the last book order of the semester. It is due on December 2 nd. Books make great
holiday gifts! If you need recommendations, or want me to hold them back as a gift, please let me
know!

Objectives:
Math: I can understand the value of digits in whole numbers, apply place value properties of
operations to solve multi-digit problems, and divide with whole numbers to solve problems.
Language Arts: I can demonstrate the correct use of words when writing, speaking, or reading.
(Focus on Pronouns Contractions)
Writing: I can create narrative pieces using descriptive details and sequence of events.
Reading: I can demonstrate a variety of comprehension strategies.
Science: I can demonstrate understanding of how the sun, Earth, and moon interact.
Social Studies: I can recognize how regions and culture are created by location and explain how
people and the environment impact each other.
