This was an original document during the 1800s offering an award for Nat
Turner's and his accomplices capture. This showed me just how serious whites
were about catching and executing Nat Turner publically.

I used a picture from from Neal Boenzi to show how Nat Turners rebellion
impacted the world. This furthered my understanding on how Nat Turners
rebellion lead to the end of slavery, and what African Americans had to deal with
even after they were free.

This speech helped me because Samuel McDowell made good points on how
ending slavery would better the world and unify the country. I used direct quotes
from this speech and helped me summarize how Nat Turner impacted the
anti-slavery movement.

His journal entries furthered my understanding of how the abolitionists were
helping Nat Turner. I used quotes and points made in the entries, also.

I asked Sarah Roth several questions on Nat Turner's life and why did he feel like
he absolutely had to go through with the rebellion. She emphasized that Nat
Turner worshiped the bible and if he wasnt well-educated his rebellion wouldnt
have ever happened. I used her answers to build up information on my website.

how crazed for blood everyone was. I used journal entries and pictures from this

This showed me what the rebellion was like from a different perspective and
furthered my understanding on the reasons behind the rebellion. This book
helped me write sections on the revolt and my thesis.
