VOCABULARY ADJECTIVES

1. Affectionate an affectionate person is someone who is


very loving
Example sentence: My grandmother is very affectionate.
2. Charismatic somebody who attracts other people, and
who is good at getting peoples attention.
Example sentence: Barrack Obama is a very charismatic
politician.
3. Courageous an adjectives used to describe someone
who is very brave
Example sentence: Gervais is a fireman. He is very
courageous. He rescues people from fires.
4. Dependable an adjective used to describe someone who
is very reliable
Example sentence: Giovvina is very dependable. She
always keeps her promises.
5. Devious (negative) used to describe someone who
cheats other people, to get what they want
Example sentence: Cressanda can be a bit devious at
times. I wouldnt trust her.
6. Egotistical (negative) used for describing someone who
acts as if they are more important than others
Example sentence: Yolanda is a bit egotistical. He tends
to look down on people.
7. Gregarious very sociable
Example sentence: Tracy is very gregarious. She has lots
of friends.
8. Impulsive an adjective used to describe someone who
acts before thinking
Example sentence: Gemilan can be a bit impulsive. He
doesnt always think before he acts.
9. Industrious very hardworking
Example sentence: Raynold is very industsrious. He
works really hard at his job.
10. Introverted someone who is quiet and shy (opposite
of extroverted)
Example sentence: Lusat is quite introverted. She
doesnt really enjoy parties.
