The KWL chart summarizes what the learner knows, wants to learn, and has learned about how exercise affects the heart. It is noted that heart rate increases with exercise intensity. Moderate exercise raises heart rate enough to elevate oxygen delivery but allows for conversation, while vigorous exercise greatly increases heart rate to a point of being able only to say a few words without pausing. The heart must pump more blood to supply oxygen to working muscles, and different intensities impact heart rate and how much one can talk during activity.

effects of exercise on heart? I know that if you do a lot of exercise your heart rate will go up.
I know that moderate-intense
activities will allow me to get my heart rate up but not a lot. I know that vigorously-intense activities will raise my heart rate a lot. I know that heart rate goes up when doing exercise because muscles work hard and need more oxygen.
What do I want to learn about the
effects of exercise on heart? How does the heart help maintain the oxygen for the muscles? How can I tell if I am doing moderate-intense activities? Based on my heart rate? How can I tell if I am doing vigorous-intense activities based on my heart rate?
What have I learned about how exerci
affects the heart? I learned that muscles need a oxygen but they can derive so energy without it by using anaerobic metabolism. But mo the energy they need comes fr aerobic metabolism. I learned that the bloodstream responsible for bringing the o to your muscles. The heart nee pump a lot of blood to mainta oxygen supply to the muscles are working. For the heart to d that, it starts beating faster and stronger which increases hear I learned that when doing vigo intense activities and doing th outside in the heat will increas heart rate more than usual bec the heart needs to supply bloo the skin to cool you down and the muscles. I learned that I can tell if I am doing moderate intense activit I can raise my heart rate and b able to talk while doing the exercise but not sing. I learned that I can tell I am d vigorous intense activities if I increase my heart rate rapidly would only be able to say a fe words without stopping and pausing for a breath. This type exercise will allow us to have blood pressure and have the h healthier.
