1. Water absorption and Density 5 samples

Example shapecube with 60 mm 60 mm 60 mm dimensions
Surface quality- All surfaces shall be reasonably smooth. Saw or core drill
samples are considered satisfactory. Otherwise samples shall be finished
with No. 80 abrasive.
2. Compressive strength
10 samples perpendicular to bed (or rift)
10 samples parallel to bed (or rift)
Sample Shape- cube with 60 mm 60 mm 60 mm dimensions
3. Flexural strength - 10 samples
Sample Shape- Thin cuboids

Surface quality- The specimen shall have a fine abrasive finish on the
planes perpendicular to the load and a fine saw finish on the other four
