Time: 80 minutes

Aims: 1. To introduce the poem News Break

2. To recite the poem stanza by stanza in their group.

3. To get the meaning of the poem.

Materials:

1. Pictures
2. Slide show
3. Papers

Steps:

Pre-Activity (40 minutes)

1. Assign students in groups of five.


2. Each group recites the poem by stanza.
3. Each student need to design their own report card of what result they
want to achieve at the end of the year.

While-Activity (80 minutes)

4. Get students to match the pictures with the lines in the poem. (20
minutes)
5. Students identify one verb and find the meaning. (20 minutes)

Post- Activity (40 minutes)
