Where artist use clips from their concerts throughout their music video to promote not only their songs but also
to encourage people to buy concert tickets as people will see the vibe within the video and will want to attend.
This also adds a different dynamic to the music video.

Animation (stop motion digital):

When a person uses animated multimedia means to create a music video, this is done because animated
characters can do more than physical humans can, a hyper-reality can be created where surreal things can
happen.

e.g. the gorillaz tomorrow comes today

Interpretative

Interpretive means something that looks like something else, but has a different meaning. Interpretive music
videos normally want the audience to make their own interpretation of what they think the music video is about

Narrative

This type of music video will often include a story with a beginning, middle and end. The story will often follow
the lyrics or suggest some lyrics to the story. For example Eminem Stan which tells the story of a crazed fan
follows a narrative story as the video goes directly with the story, with a clear beginning, middle and end.

Impressionist

Impressionist music videos an impressionist music video can be used to make the audience/ viewer feel a
certain way and will use seemingly unrelated, random and peculiar shots to express the themes of the video;
this is portrayed in Kanye west famous video. Kanye shows pictures of seemingly naked celebrities all lying on a
bed with each other.

Pastiche

A pastiche video is a music video that imitates or copies features such as techniques, theme, style etc. of the
original music video. Though both have small differences and huge similarities they are different but thought as
the same
