    ANSWER MINIMUM 2 QUESTIONS

    1) There are 52 Bricks in a Square Meter area of a Wall. The area of the
    wall is 25 sq.m and there are two windows in this wall of size 900
    mm x 1000 mm.
    a) How many bricks are in this wall?
    Ans: 1206.40 Nos = Round Off = 1207 Nos

    b) A bricklayer will charge $1.20 per brick. How much will the
    bricklayer charge to lay these bricks
    Ans: $ 1448

    2) The price of timber flooring is $95 per square meter. What is the
    price for timber flooring the house (areas marked timber only). Note:
    10% wastage to be included (Marks 4)
    Ans: 69.88 Sq.m*95 = $6638.60

    3) The area of bathroom floor to be tiled is 35 sq.m. The size of a tile is


    600 mm x 600 mm. How many tiles are required? (Note: 5% wastage
    is to be factored into your calculation)
