1.2 Define structural elements


Step 15: Click Structural Tab in main window
Step 16: Click Create prescribed displacement button. Select Create line displacement option.
Step 17: In the draw area move the cursor to point (0,4) and click the left mouse button. Move
to point (1,4) and click left mouse button again. Click right mouse button to stop drawing
Step 18: Set the prescribed displacement (Displacementx) to Fixed. Specify uniform
prescribed displacement (0.05m) in the vertical direction by assigning -0.05 to uy,start,ref
