Allows the designer to go from identifying a design opportunity to testing evaluating their
solution to their problem
Design cycle is divided into four parts
Part A: inquiring and analyzing
Explain and justify
Identify and prioritize
Analyze a range of existing products
Develop a detailed design
Part B: Developing Designs
Students write a detailed specification
Part C: Creating the Solution
Students plan the creation of the chosen solution
Part D: Evaluating
Students design tests
Students identify where the solution could be improved
