Part 1: Parts of the Computer

Input Devices
The input devices can accept data and translate these data into digital signals
recognizable by the computer.

1. Keyboard it is a primarily input device for every computer. There are five parts of
the keyboard, namely: Alphanumeric Keys, Numerical Keys, Function Keys,
Navigational Keys and Editing Keys.

2. Mouse it is a small device with a cord connected to the computers which use the
table top to point various objects and menus on the screen. There are five operations
of the mouse, namely: Pointing, Dragging, Left Click, Right Click, and Double Left
Click.

3. Trackball is basically an inverted mouse; the user rotates the ball itself while
clicking nearby buttons. Trackball users argue the device is more efficient because it
is stationary saves arm movement; however, many mouse users are uncomfortable
with the different styles of input.

4. Joystick popular for playing computer games. It can be move in several directions.
