List of Demerits

Class A: MAJOR MISDEMEANORS (10 30 Demerits)

1. Gross disrespect of superior officers

2. Abuse of authority
3. Unexcused absence
4. Destruction of school property
5. Cheating during examination
6. Violation of standing instructions
7. Long hair and mustache (for cadets)

Class B: GRAVE MISDEMEANORS (6 10 Demerits)

1. Points the rifle or sword at any person

2. Rumor mongering
3. Making boisterous remarks while in ranks
4. Sleeping in classroom while instruction is being conducted
5. Tardiness in formation
6. Unkempt hair (for cadettes)

Class C: LESS GRAVE MISDEMEANORS (4 5 Demerits)

1. Slouching in ranks
2. Walking in uniform without headgear
3. Rolling up of sleeves
4. Spitting in ranks
5. Does any act detrimental to discipline while in rank (e.g. howling, shouting, etc.)
6. Chewing of gums or candies while in ranks
7. Carelessly laying aside of rifle
8. Wearing of dirty and slovenly uniform
9. Commits any act similar in nature as the offenses mentioned

Class D: MINOR MISDEMEANORS AND OMISSION (1 3 Demerits)

1. Untucked T-shirt
2. Unbraided hair for cadettes
3. Unpolished brass articles
4. Dirty face
5. Not bringing of handouts
6. Malingering or being lazy
7. Wearing of uniform other than the one prescribed
8. Falling out of ranks without permission
9. Lazily dragging the rifle
10. Commits any act similar in nature to the above offenses
