Pre-adolescents & teenagers


Below are some of the situations that you may find in a high school context:

1. The haters – students that hate everyone in the class. They tend to be
loners.
2. Sub-groups – small groups within the class.
3. Class clown (male or female) – students that love to joke around and be the
centre of attention.
4. Students that refuse to complete any homework activities.
5. Disorganised students – students that are messy and refuse to organise
their school supplies.
6. Walkers – students that love to walk around the class.
7. Talkers – students that love to talk with classmates during the class.
8. Mixed ability classes – students that have a higher level or lower level in the
same class.
9. Beauty queens – female students who think they should be in a beauty
queen contest and are the prettiest in the class. They can be unkind to other
students, particularly other girls, and often distracted in class.
10. Students that don’t pay attention.
11. Students that don’t participate at all.
