    PART 3: DEALING WITH DISCIPLINE ISSUES


    Whether you teach 5-year olds or 40-year olds, at some point, you will find
    yourself having to “deal” with inappropriate behaviour in your classroom. Make
    no mistake – as the teacher, it is your job to ensure the class runs smoothly and
    individuals are not permitted to disrupt learning for others. In the following
    sections, you will gain an understanding of some of the reasons for student
    behaviour or “misbehaviour” and some practical ideas for how to cope.
