Observations/ Account
(What Happened?)
Every Thursday we have two periods of
math class.
But today we had guest reader came to
visit and read a story to the class. It was
the second period of math class. He was
given 15 minutes but he used the period.
So I got only one period to teach.
He has a strong British accent and he read
the text very fast without considering the
students listening skill level. Students
had a hard time to catch up what he is
talking.
Secondly, my cooperating teacher led the
bible class. She showed the video about
how God tested Abrahams faith.
Whenever video was in important part
and Teacher pause the video for a while
and explained to them whats happening.
Students asked questions to the teacher.
Teacher gave a worksheet for video
review.
After that, they had reflective prayer
time called ACTS time.
1. A stands for Adoration.
2. C stands for Confession.
3. T stands for Thanksgiving.
4. S stands for Supplication.

Firstly, my cooperating said we have to
learn how to flexible about guest
reader.
She said to me Ive told him that he has
15 minutes for this storytelling.
And I was observing her that how she
would react this problem. I was
surprised with her actions. Since
students did not understand the story,
some of them did not want to pay
attention at all. But my cooperating
teacher was disciplining her students to
respect the guest reader by her body
language.
Next, I really like the way how my
cooperating teacher did reflective
prayer in her bible class. I think this is
an awesome idea that let the third
graders reflect the goodness of God,
their mistakes and think about God and
life.
