Prologue
The year is 2116, and our story starts with Bryan Hayes, a 17 year old teenager, who
starts talking about the situation the worlds in. Its bad. Then he talks about the day his life
changed forever, starting with his friend, Roger White, barging into his house. He convinces
Bryan to come watch a protest with him. There, they hear Martin Washington, the lead protestor,
monologue about the wrongs the Prime Minister's (Abraham Zefania and Carly Proctor) did to
him, and the rest of the people in the country.
Thats when Rick Harrison, a protester, comes in and tells a story about one of the
government's secret agents; Clara Norton. This criticism of her alone unexpectedly fires up
Roger, which leads to an argument between the two. Washington tells both of them to leave,
before two of the protesters pull out assault rifles and aim at Bryan and the rest of the people
there. The crowd is, however, saved by a cloaked figure, who taunts the attempted gunmen,
and orders the arriving police to arrest them and figure out what to do with the protesters.
This figure is revealed to be The Timekeeper, the sole emperor (its been reduced to
being in charge of the Peacekeeping Forces, and being Head of the World Senate) of the world
(Bryan still believes its the emperor). Bryan mentions that it has taken an interest in him for the
past three years, saving him from dangers in the real world, and dangers within his head.
Worried, he pulls out a bottle of pills, and downs a few.
Act One, Scene One
The next day, we see a celebration of Cassius Zefanias promotion to Major in the
Peacekeeping Forces. Next to him is Clara, seemingly a teenager. They talk about the
Basketball game, Cassius much more involved in the convo then Clara.
It is interrupted when Abraham walks into the room to pull her out. In the next room. PM
Proctor and VM Zefania explain to Norton that she and three others will be apart of a group
committed to fighting domestic terrorism occurring within the capitol, named Project Altius
Clara objects at first, but gives in after being reminded of her position in the government.
Act One, Scene Two
The next day, a mysterious journalist talks about a completely unrelated event on TV,
where someone named Heather Lombardi died, before interviewing PM Zefania. Bryan hears
a knock on the door, and answers. Norma Zefania tells him shes a government agent, and
recruits Bryan into Project Altius. This is done without much of any resistance. In fact, he
casually takes some pills during it.
They arrive at the base of operations, and were introduced to two other characters; Ned
Backman and Heather Lombardi, 17 and 18 respectively. Norma leaves, and the four talk about
stuff. Cutting to Norma, she monologues a bit about her brother, before arriving at a bar.
Watson and Cassius are there. Theyre celebrating Watsons transferal to Cassius unit by taking
up their general, Omar Hyperias, bar. However Watson has to leave in order to stop two of his
soldiers from having sex. Cassius and Norma are also irritated by one of the privates, Lance
York.
Cassius tries to talk about sports, but Norma tries to convinces him to, instead, talk
about his accomplishments in the force. He decides not do, and remincines with Norma about
their childhood. The scene ends with Omar popping in and telling Cassius to get all of his
soldiers out of his bar. Bryan monologues about Heather, noting that talking to her has made
him unusually happy, before deciding to sleep.
Thats when Nothingness takes control of the body, commenting that hes gotten past
the pills protections, and walks around the city, partying all night long. The other personality,
Emily, gives him a suggestion to go a strp club, and he gleefully does so.
Act One, Scene Three
That following morning, Roger finds Bryan outside of his house, with no recollection of
where he is, and who Roger is. Still, he trusts Roger, and the latter drives him to the base.
Waiting outside, Clara takes Bryan in, who remembers none of the others, before suddenly
leaving the three, to attend to personal business she claims. Norma enters, and is told Bryan
can't remember jack. After some difficulty, she tricks him into remembering his surroundings
once more, before giving him a stronger dosage of pills to take.
She then takes Ned into the briefing room in order to interrogate two captured terrorists.
He is successful in doing this, the two believing they tricked the kid. Norma sends two agents.
They find her with Roger, and force her to come with them. Back at the base, Norma tells her
some coordinates, and urges her and Heather to go to those coordinates. When asked, she
claims shes not allowed to specify what this place is. Norma gives them two guards.
We cut to seven people, three of them armed, talking. Thats when Clara enters,
stunned. Then one of the agents come in, and a gunfight ensues. Clara flees, both agents died,
before coming back, armed with one of their assault rifles.
She shuts off the power switch The stage goes dark. We then hear gunshots, and lots of
screaming. When the lights come back on. Only one of the terrorists are still alive; their
crawling away from Clara, begging for mercy. Heather tries to intervene, only for Clara to aim at
her. Before she can pull the trigger, The TImekeeper intervenes. It talks to Clara, which seems
to snap her out of whatever trance she was in. It takes them both in for questioning, while Clara
freaks out over what shes done.
Afterwards, we see a meeting of the One World Government. Several prime ministers
come up, including one Alex Johnson, who proposes . Proctor and Zefania are not too thrilled
about this. Afterwards, The Timekeeper confronts the both of them about what Clara testified to
it. Zefania is too flabbergasted to speak, while Proctor is able to diffuse the situation, pointing
out that Clara signed papers, and knew what she was getting into. Norma not telling Clara the
address was an error on Normas part, and she will be punished for this.
Timekeeper monologues for a bit, before it sees The Journalist off to the side, telling us
about a nuclear apocalypse in 2016 that left 48% of the world dead; the only reason the world
didn't fade away was because of the keepers; The Timekeeper, The Powerkeeper, and The
Lightkeeper. Its words intertwined with Bryan, who tricks the surviving terrorist into telling him
exactly what he wants using his powers.
Afterwards, Bryan offers to drive Heather back to her house. She takes him up on it, and
inside the car they talk about stuff, before Bryan drops her off at her home. He monologues,
wishing that his life were so much better, how up until this point, Roger was the only one that
cared for him. But now he has four more people caring for him (Ned, Heather, Clara, Norma),
and they makes him feel warm inside. But its not enough; he wants to live a happy life with
Heather, and if he were stuck on in island with just her, life wouldn't be so bad. Feeling tired, he
pulls his car up, and falls asleep.
In his dream, he sees Heather and Ned in a relationship, making out. He gets angry and
storms towards them, when Emily comes towards the opposite side. She tells him to relax hell
never have her, no matter what his cheesy monologues say. She doesn't specify why, only that
something bad will happen thatll sever your friendship forever. She then tells him to not trust
Norma and co, because theyre bad people who want to take advantage of him. Bryan scoffs
her off.
Act One, Scene Four
Bryan suddenly wakes up. Its morning, hes in the backseat, and somehow both him
and the car are parked in front of his house. He walks into his house to find The Journalist
waiting for him. Freaked out, Bryan tries to kick him out of his house, but releases its a
supernatural creature. Basically, Journalist tells him to stop taking those pills too; their hurting
him. Bryan disregards him, and once again tells him to leave. Very well. I'll be waiting for you to
come around. The Journalist comments, before leaving.
Cassius, meanwhile, plays a game with Jack, Omar, and three privates; Lance, Alec,
and Annie. Cassius is pulled out of the room by Timekeeper, who needs to see him for a
meeting. Omar and friends continue to play the game. Timekeeper assigns Cassius to
temporarily head Project Altius. He tells the others, and tells them to pack their bags, cause
theyre being re stationed to the capitol.
Act One, Scene Five
Its three days later, and Ned recounts those days; since Project Altius was moved over
as a Peacekeepers operation, things have been going a little better for him and the rest of the
members, except Norma, who was fired. As in, she still works in the base, but not really. She
spends most of her time in her office. Cassius, meanwhile, leads an operation sending Jack,
Heather, and the rest of the privates to capture the criminals.
They do so, and Bryan and Ned interrogate them. All is seemingly well, until Ned stops
narrating. He goes to talk about Heather, Clara, and Bryan. After a while, gunshots start ringing
out in the background. Clara starts to panic, as Heather and Ned barricade the doors. Then the
power goes out, before the barricades break, revealing Norma, Lance, Watson, and Cassius,
who is severely wounded. The backup generator kicks in. Watson escorts Ned, Bryan, and
Clara the opposite way, claiming that none of them would want to see the bodies. Lance, who
was silent through this section, bursts into tears as Heather tries to heal Cassius wounds.
Clara and Ned ask Bryan the specifics, and he answers that one of the groups of people
they attacked decided to fight back out of vengeance, before leaving. Ned and Bryan worry for
their (and Heathers) lives. Clara stays silent.
Act One, Scene Six
After some reluctance, Heather makes a phone call to Roger, asking if hed like to come
over to her birthday party (Ned, Bryan, and Clara have already been invited). He accepts the
offer. She then gets a phonecall for Bryan, who asks her out to a diner tomorrow. She accepts
the offer. Cassius bitterly requests a transferral outside of Project Altius to Omar Hyperia, citing
that the project resulted in the pointless deaths of 10 of his good men. Omar and The
TImekeeper heed his request to be transferred.
Meanwhile, The Prime Minister's watch a video of PM Johnson's speech about . They
passively mention the incident at the base, but all that leads to them deciding to stop going
after terrorists. If anything, theyre much more annoyed by this Johnson fellow. So annoyed, in
fact, that Zefania mentions they should use their little agency to teach that protestor(Martin
Washington) a lesson, who wont shut up about his conspiracy crap. After all, they pretty much
got away with destroying his little group, why not go after him now?
Bryan talks about Heather again; he loves her so much, and is unsure why he won't just
ask her out already. He shrugs it off, noting that the suggestions made by The Journalist may
have been right. He only stopped taking them for a day, and already his mind feels clearer, he
can sleep better. He goes to sleep upon saying that, and has another dream; Clara chokes
Heather to death, Bryan powerless to stop it. Emily appears once more, telling him that Clara
and Ned are not the ones that are wicked, it is Heather and the Prime Ministers that are truly
wicked. Bryan ignores her, which causes Emily to snap at him. Bryan continues to ignore her,
and makes out with the dead dreams Heather as Clara paces behind them.
While this is going on, Nothingness is wandering around the city. He doesn't feel the
need to party so hard this time. Just a simple walk. That is, until he chance encounters Ned.
The latter realizes immediately its not Bryan, but still, Nothingness senses his strong
negativity and asks if a night of partying will cheer him up. Ned reluctantly agrees to come
along, but sits in the corner, looking apathetic and bored as Nothingness dances with a girl.
Another girl tries to cheer Ned up, but to avail.
Act One, Scene Seven
The Journalist interviews Martin, who monologues about his missing friends, and damns
the government for what they did to them (despite no one listening). Thats when Clara barges
in and shoots him in the face. She leaves, distraught, The Journalist following her. Norma
makes a call asking if this, or any of the others, were justified to kill, Proctor assuring her that
yes, yes they were. And if she disobeys them, theyll fire her, and shell lose her job.
Two separate characters overlap with this convo, Clara tries to assures herself that what
shes doing is right, but cant bring herself to do it. Bryan assures himself that the pills only
hindered him, while Nothingness parties with two girls in the background.
Act One, Scene Eight
Bryan wakes up at the diner, not remembering anything. Heather shows up, realizes
what happened, and tricks him into remembering. He assures her he took his pills. They see the
news about Washington's death, labeled as a suicide by the police, and they talk about him
before Bryan changes the subject. hes about to finally profess his love for her, when suddenly
he stops talking, and stares at Heather.
Emily enters, wearing Bryans clothing (to the others characters it's Bryan), and continues
the conversation, acting like nothing strange happened. Then she asks Heather if shed like to
take a suggestion; killing her. Heather refuses, and Emily grabs her hand, and tries to force her
to stab her and Bryans body in the heart. Thats when The Journalist barges in, holding a gun.
Emily holds Heather hostage, stopping The Journalist in his tracks. She convinces him
that if he take one more suggestion, she won't hurt Heather. That suggestion, unfortunately for
him, is suicide, which The Journalist does. Heather takes the time to break free, and restrain
Emily. Using zip ties she has, Heather restrains her, and leads her offstage. We transition to
Heathers house (which is next to the forest reserve) and brings While there, Emily reveals that
its not Bryan, and before it can continue, Bryan returns, wondering whats going on. After being
filled in, he explains who that was (he calls her Erebus) while the woman herself interjects
within his mind. Clara shows up, claiming shes here for the party. Heather tells her to stay put
anyway. Bryan explains that shes an evil, foul creature who wants to hurt others and has tried
to kill him in the past. But according to Emily:
Her name is actually Emily, he should tell them that.
Bryan let her come out when he couldn't deal with embarrassing or traumatic situations.
You especially loved to let me reign when our parents violated us.
Even so, she only wants to die, not him. She suggests to come out out so she can be
rested,
But Bryan ignores her and tells her to shut up multiple times, noting that he can't trust
her until Emily gets fed up, and curses him out. Heather criticises Bryan for not taking his pills,
before suggesting to cure Bryan with her powers. She tries to do so. That is, until Roger shows
up, him barging through causes Clara to shoot him in the face.
A few moments of silence, and Bryan and Clara get into a nasty argument, ending with
Heather admitting that she invited him over, forgetting to tell him about the diner incident. This
causes Clara to tell her how much of a horrible person she is, before both she storms out the
backdoor. Heather and Bryan are content on hiding the body for now. Bryan finally confesses
his love, prompting Heather do ask if this is really the time for this. Bryan gets mad at this, but
leaves when When the police finally show up. Heather tries to convince the officers it was an
accidental misfiring. It dosent work, and she is arrested. They do not see Bryan nor Clara.
Bryan starts do monologue about Heather's comment, only to see Nothingness and Emily
manifest into visions. They both drag him into the woods (AKA offstage).
The Prime Ministers decide they don't need Ned, Heather, or Bryan (whos gone
missing) anymore. They only need Clara to kill Mr. Johnson, and stop him from destroying TKs
utopia.
Act One Climax
Senator Smith exits from a plane, to have Norma greet him. She takes him into the PMs
room. They discuss stuff, before Clara suddenly barges out and her and Norma inject stuff into
him, knocking him unconscious. PM Proctor threatens Norma with her brothers life if she doesn't
shoot Smith in the head. Abraham does nothing. The PMs leave through the hatch, having
locked the door.
Clara begs Norma not to do anything, but she falls under the pressure and kills Smith,
causing Clara to freak out and bang on the door. Omar opens it, and discovers the nasty sight.
The Timekeeper enters too. Clara leaves through the hatch. Omar contains Norma and both
him and The TImekeeper declare Project Altius a complete failure. As Timekeeper pursues
Clara, Omar orders Colonel Jack Watson and Cassius to detain all Project Altius members, as
well as Proctor and Zefania is they are found (if Norma is to be believed).
Lance wanders through the streets, mourning his friends, when he sees Ned also
wandering.. As he blames Project Altius for their deaths, Lance stops Ned, antagonizing him,
and threatening to kill him, when he sees Clara run by. He reluctantly pursues her instead, and
they enter the forest reserve. Timekeeper also enters the forest. Clara slows down, while Lance
loses his way. She sits on a log, staring at her knife, when The Timekeeper enters.
They have a conversation, before The ghosts of Kaitlyn and The Journalist enter,
freaking Clara out. The Timekeeper denies theyre there. This conversation escalates into Clara
asking The Timekeeper to kill her, which it refuses, causing Clara to turn the knife on herself. TK
mourns her death.
Bryan is chased by the two other personalities through the woods, Cassius detains the
Prime Minister's, Jack detains Ned, while Lance tries to get The Timekeepers attention. This all
happens at once, symbolizing how out of control things are getting, before Omar gets his own
monologue. Then he catches up to Bryan, alone. His clothes are torn up, and hes once again
forgotten his surroundings. Omar tries to convince him to come with him, and ends up with a
bottle of pills he did not have. Bryan tries to grab them, but Emily takes over, wearing a red
dress.
She forces Omar to freeze, just as Lance finds them. She angers Lance by taunting him
about his sister and that Jack was the real cause of his suffering, before retreating back into her
subconscious. She decides to say goodbye to Bryan and Nothingness before she dies. When
she sees Bryan, however, she has an epiphany; why should she help out a person thats been
cruel to her her whole life? She decides that shell live, and Bryan will die for her.
As such, she willingly gives Bryan control of the body, and Lance shoots Bryan do death.
Now reincarnated with her own body, Emily tells Lance to run, which he does. Distraught by
Bryans death, Nothingness vows to avenge him, before walking off. Emily unfreezes Omar and
tells him to run, because she considers him a good person. Omar runs. Emily has found her
new purpose in life; punishing the wicked, starting with Proctor, before saying goodbye to
Bryans body.
End of Act One

Act Two, Scene One

Martin Washington's monologue is reprised by Rick Harrison, but it sounds more
demented and sinister. He begs a passing Cassius for change, who gives him some money. He
arrives at the former Project Altius base, now occupied by The Peacekeeping Forces. Its been
a week, and quite a lots happened; theyve released Ned who gave them everything he knew,
Abraham was relieved of any charges pressed by him, and is in the process of becoming Prime
Minister. Clara was buried, and Bryan as well as Lance are still missing. All Omar will say about
his encounter with Bryan is that he ran away.
Suddenly, Lance comes out of nowhere and shoots Heather, killing her. Without
thinking, Watson shoots him, before Cassius can remind him about Heather's power. A few
moments, Heather springs back up, pissed at Lance. Grief stricken that he just killed his son
(plot twist), Watson leaves.
