To Whom It May Concern:

I am pleased to write this letter on behalf of Juan Valdovino in his desire to pursue higher
education. I have known Juan since the year of 2014 and I have been impressed in his dedication
in staying focused in all his classes. It was a pleasure having Juan in my Integrated Math 3 in the
school year of 2015 -2016 and seeing the great determination he possesses in his academics.

Juan is a hardworking student that has the drive to succeed in his studies and has the
privilege of being a biliterate student in Spanish and English. Juan is diligent to what he does,
respectful, responsible, and confident. Juan is a focused gentleman that is ready to embrace any
challenge that comes towards him. Moreover, Juan was able to be part of the varsity soccer team
at El Capitan High School, be a link leader, an academic mentor and a mentor at the Merced
United boys soccer.

Juan will be attending Merced Junior College and focus in graduating with a Bachelor's
degree in Criminal Justice as he will be the first one in his family to attend college. Lastly, it has
been a pleasure in getting to know the great characteristics that Juan executes and his continuous
dedication for a brighter future. I am confident that Juan will achieve his goals and continue to
succeed in life. He is a valuable asset and I recommend him for any endeavor he chooses to
pursue. Thank you.
