To Whom It May Concern:

It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Malachy Daughdrill. I have had the
pleasure of knowing Malachy since his earliest years at St. Paul Preschool. Upon entering
elementary school, I was blessed to have him as a kindergarten student. I then had the
opportunity to watch Malachy grow and develop into a lifelong learner over his elementary,
junior high and high school years. This is an exciting time in a young person's life, and I am
privileged to have been there from his earliest years.

Malachy is a very charismatic young man. He carries himself well and I am always impressed
when he stops by St. Paul for a visit at his politeness, manners and the way in which he
interacts with the adults that come through the office. He engages in conversation and asks
thoughtful questions. His “soft skills” are very strong for a young person in this day and age.

In addition to his ability to relate well with others, he boasts a wealth of athletic skills. He was
part of the El Capitan 2020 championship basketball team. He was a successful soccer and
tennis player, finishing his senior tennis season with a 14-2 season record undefeated in CCC
play. He will continue to use the lessons learned on the field and courts as he furthers his
athletic career at Merced College playing soccer.

Being a scholar athlete is no small feat. Finding balance between academics and athletics is
very important. Malachy’s experiences throughout high school have laid a solid foundation for
him as he looks ahead to his future. As he continues his education preparing for a career goal in
the rigorous field of Marine Biology, he has been equipped with the skills necessary to further
his success. I have no doubt that he will reach all his goals!

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
