It is a homogenous mixture of two or more substances.
2. Binary solution
A solution containing two components only is called binary solution.
3. Solute
The component present in lesser amount by weight in a solution is called solute.
4. Solvent
The component present in larger amount by weight in a solution is called solvent.
5. Soluble substance
The substances which dissolve in water are called soluble substances
6. Insoluble substances
The substances which do not dissolve in water are called insoluble substances
