Total Time Spent: 1 Hour
Today I began to plan where I am going to start doing my hours at and around at what
times I will be doing them. The first place is going to be at my high school and look around to
see if there's any litter around the school. The next place is going to be around the area I live at.
A few other places I will be doing them will be at some parks I live nearby. I decided to type up a
document to write the places I will be going to do my hours and around what times I will be
doing them.

March 31, 2017

Total Time Spent: 1 Hours, 3 minutes
Today I began to do my first few hours. Today I picked up trash around my high school
campus. I found a lot of trash around my campus and it took me a while to pick it all up but I did
end up picking up the trash. The campus did look a lot cleaner after I picked up the trash that was
laying around and it was a very warm day. My friends, Micah, Vincent, and Auvin, helped me by
taking the pictures of me doing my hours.
My friends were really nice and able to help me. I learned where the most trash was
thrown at so I could remember and pick it up. But I would say today was a very productive day.
A problem I had was that the janitor was going to pick the trash up already and I had to hurry
before he did it.

Today I went outside and picked up lots of litter around my neighborhood. I first went out
and started to walk around where I live and I saw lots of trash laying around so I picked them up
and threw them away in the trash cans. I saw a few bottles laying around and some boxes too so I
recycled them. And my sister was able to help me too by taking the pictures and helping me find
the trash around my neighborhood.
Today was another productive day because I collected lots of trash and made my
neighborhood a lot cleaner. The only problem I had was that I had work today and I only had 4
hours to pick up trash, so I had to hurry because I had to get ready to work. But I managed to
pick up the trash and do the hours I was aiming for.

April 10, 2017

Total Time Spent: 4 Hours, 15 minutes
Today I went around my neighborhood and saw lots of trash and my dad was able to help
me pick it up with me so it would be more productive. It was a very warm day so it did make it a
bit difficult but we got through it. We picked up lots of trash and made the streets look a lot
cleaner. We cleaned the outside of a middle school where I live by and picked up lots of trash
that were there. It was really productive with my dad by my side helping me pick up trash
because he saw trash that I never saw.
It was a very good day today and my dad was happy to help and pick up some litter.
Today I also brought a trash bag to throw away the trash at so it was easier to carry everything at
once instead of going straight to a trash can. But later on when there was a lot of trash in the bag
it made a small hole and it started dripping some juice that I threw away and got it all over me.
So then I had to get another bag and throw the old one away.

April 11, 2017

Total Time Spent: 3 Hours, 30 Minutes
Today I went and picked up trash with my dad around my neighborhood and a few thing I
noticed was that the places I have been cleaning started to look a lot cleaner. A few people that
were walking around they saw me and said good job and that motivated me to pick up more
trash and it made my day and I decided to take a little longer to pick up trash. My dad was also
walking the dog and it was a little difficult him to take the pictures because he had to hold the
leash and take the pictures and the same time.
It wasn't as warm as yesterday so it was easier to pick up the trash. Some trash were
really wet because they were on the sewer drains, so the bag would sometimes leak liquids.

April 12, 2017

Today my dad came with me again and along with my dog. We walked around the middle
school we used to go to and we found lots of trash around the outside of the school. So I had lots
of trash to pick up and the bag got full quickly. It was a really hot day and my back began to hurt
after the two hours but I had a lot more left, so I kept on going. It was a little hard for my dad to
take the pictures since he was walking the dog and it was harder because every time we stopped
and tried to take a picture, our dog would try to keep walking. But he managed to take the
pictures and we were able to finish the hours.
