    The centre and side span lifts on the first of two approach sections spans to be manoeuvered between and above their twin piers
    to the main suspension bridge section of the new Kwang Ahn before being lowered and placed in to their final position. Using
    Grand Bridge across Pusan Bay in South Korea, were awarded to jacks mounted on cantilever beams at the ends of the installed side
    Fagioli Ltd. by main contractor Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. spans , then allowed the lift from a transport barge of the centre
    span using eight Fagioli L600 strand jacks powered by four diesel
    Each approach section consists of two 133 metre length side powerpacks, in a synchronized configuration that allowed lift
    spans weighing 4,730 tonnes each, and a 95 meter length centre speeds of 12 metres per hour. The same system was then
    span weighing 2,900 tonnes. Each of the side spans was firstly transferred to the other approach section to perform identical lifts.
