Its no wonder, then, that Jacqueline Ros was

Ros to imagine a personal safety device that

Ros, however, had no idea how to get such a
product to market, so she leaned on two female

The former invited Ros to local startup net-

Five truisms about running and training that arent, well, true.
FASTER IS BETTER
Maybe for sprinters. Longer, slower training runs actually develop endurance better than
high-intensity training, according to Dr. Iigo San Milln, director for sports performance at
the University of Colorado Sports Medicine and Performance Center. He should know; hes
worked with world-class athletes around the globe (including Tour de France winners), using
a scientic approach to building endurance. Were targeting mitochondria because they
are the key to everything, he says. They preserve glycogen and burn lactate. Both of those
things are crucial to improving your tness. The real-world application? You can improve

During World War II while Americans supported the war effort at home, they

Dr. Joseph Ramos is unlike most lawyers you may know. As both a physician and
a lawyer, Ramos knows that a clients personal injury case is more about the
injuries than the law. It is about understanding how to present those injuries
effectively to a jury or insurance agency. This unique knowledge gives him a
great advantage in his practice.
Ramos learned at an early age how to help others from his parents, who owned
a small town gas station and assisted many stranded travelers in their small
town. He applied early values of hard work and commitment to his own life,
paying his own way through college, medical school and later, law school. I
met my wife and together we are raising four great kids says Ramos.
Ramos is an avid hunter, sherman and is active in his church. Whether
it is serving those in need on a mission trip, in medicine or in law, Ramos
philosophy is simply to take good care of people. I take my role as an injury
attorney very seriously. Its an important task to get my clients back on the road
to recovery whether it be from a car accident, a sports injury or injury on the job.
It is a big responsibility for me and my team, but we gain a lot of satisfaction in

For the Marrs family, dairy farming is not just a job, its a
lifestyle. The Marrs family has been dairying in Colorado
since the 1940s. With experience steeped in family
tradition, Eldon and Hilary Marrs are proud to be teaching
their sons to be good stewards of the land and livestock.
As members of Dairy Farmers of America, our passion is
to produce the best quality milk we can for your family in
a safe and environmentally sustainable way, says Hilary
Marrs. We have a vested and personal relationship with
the quality of our product, and the impact that producing it
has on our environment.
The dairy adheres to DFAs Gold Standard program and
the National Dairy F.A.R.M. (Farmers Assuring Responsible
Management) program, which include second and third
party inspections of animal care and comfort, facility
cleanliness and employee training in animal care and
safety. The family understands the ongoing concern
with antibiotic use, and only utilizes them when strictly
necessary and under the supervision of a veterinarian. No
articial growth hormones are ever used on the dairy, and
every tank load of milk that leaves the dairy is tested for
quality and the presence of antibiotics. Consumers should
know that any dairy product they purchase, whether organic
or from a conventional dairy like ours, is the same safe and
healthy product that we have on our familys table.

sights set on one of Denvers premier oculofacial plastic surgeons. Dr.
Jack Zamora specializes in cosmetic and aesthetic procedures for the
face and body with minimal downtime. These doctors are traveling to
Colorado to learn his techniques.
Dr. Zamora offers his patients the most advanced, innovative technology
available. Now you can experience J-Plazty, a new skin tightening
procedure utilizing cold plasma energy. Dr. Zamora created and
developed the J-Plazty technique which gives patients instantly tighter,
rmer skin, and reduces crepey-ness and sagging. This is the rst
time that this technology has been used for these particular cosmetic
procedures, which has now opened the door for all 40 to 60-year old
patients wanting a mini-lift without the scars, says Dr. Zamora.
Additionally, Dr. Zamora can tighten loose skin on the body after
pregnancy or weight loss, or from the aging process.
When it comes to nding the right surgeon, education is key. Dr. Zamora
