Moira Kaleidas story is

making a positive impact
in the community
Moira Kaleida began volunteering when she
was a student at Brashear High School. Now she
balances her family life with her commitment to
bettering our society by tackling tough issues.
Moira currently serves on the Pittsburgh Public
School (PPS) Board and spends more than 20 hours
per week working on projects including the PPS
Transgender Policy and the Backpacks for Hunger
initiative at PPS Montessori. Moira also served three
years as co-leader and secretary for the International
Cesarean Awareness Network, which offers support
for women experiencing birth trauma.
