The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College IHSA Team traveled to Bridgewater

College this past weekend. They competed in the third of four Tournament of Champions Series
shows on Saturday. The Wasps finished fourth in the competition, earning three wins and three
reserve champion finishes. The team finished fourth in the competition. In what was a
successful day for the Wasps, many team members competed and placed in the competition.
Sophomore Francisco Caba-Guil was the reserve champion in Open Equitation Over Fences.
Senior Nick Martino placed fifth in Open on the Flat. Junior Billie Henard won the Intermediate
on the Flat. Freshman Bobbie Jo Adsit took second in both Novice Equitation Over Fences and
Novice Flat. Freshman Kelsey Bergman won the Walk/Trot class. In High Medal competition,
Martino was first while freshman Katie Maharis was fifth in Low Medals. Junior Sydney Casady
and freshman Emily Trice also showed in the medal competition. The team finished fourth with
31 points. They finished behind the University of Findlay, Savannah College of Art & Design,
and host Bridgewater College. The team will be back in action next Saturday when it hosts the
fourth and final Tournament of Champions Series show at the Emory & Henry College
Equestrian Center.
