I am a student Kingston College who is presently doing my School Based Assessment (SBA) which is Office
Administration. The topic under study is, An investigation into how the correct/incorrect skills, attitude and
attributes possessed by an employee impacts interpersonal relationships in the workplace.

I am asking permission to conduct the research in your organization from September to November 2016. I
will have to conduct interviews and issues questionnaires and will therefore need full cooperation from
members of your staff during this exercise. Kindly give my request your consideration as the completion is
one of the requirements for an award at the Caribbean Secondary Certificate (CSEC).

Methodology
The ways in which the primary data were conducted were through:

Questionnaires: 10 Questionnaires were produced and handed out to the staff and 3 days were given for them

to be answered and completed. The reason for questionnaires being used as the researchers research tool

because:

1. They are relatively easy to analyse.

2. They should be simple and quick for the respondent to complete.

Interviews: Interviews were conducted and took 10-15 minutes to complete. It included 5 questions, and

these questions were more depth and relied more on personal views than a standard answer. The reason for

interview being used because:

1. They are useful to obtain detailed information about personal feelings, perceptions and opinions.
2. They allow more detailed questions to be asked.
3. They usually achieve a high response rate.

1. What in your opinion the environment is like in the workplace on a day to day basis and how does it

reflect upon you?

2. How do your mood and the moods of your co-workers affects the overall efficiency of the business?

3. An individual spends around eight to nine hours in his organization and it is practically not possible

for that individual to work all alone how important is this to you?

4. How long have you been working for IPP Auto and what have you interpret over the period youve

worked for on the importance of having a good relationship with your co-workers?
