MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

B. DURANO INTEGRATED SCHOOL

BARANGAY CAGAT-LAMAC
DANAO CITY, CEBU

This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) establishes a DISASTER RISK REDUCTION

MANAGEMENT between B. DURANO INTEGRATED SCHOOL and BARANGAY CAGAT-
LAMAC.
I. Mission
B. Durano Integrated School approximately 7 kilometers away from Danao City proper
located at Barangay Cagat-Lamac, Danao City, Cebu. The school has 395 learners from
families living in Cagat-Lamac and other neighboring barangays with 22 capable and eligible
teachers.

The school envisioned to have developed learners who are competent and prepared to face
everyday life. We have also goal to produce learners not just to equipped with skills but with
right values and competencies that they use in their daily lives.

The BARANGAY CAGAT-LAMAC COUNCIL understand the mission of B. DURANO

INTEGRATED SCHOOL foresee optimism of every learner that each of them must have
quality, equitable, culture-based and complete basic education. Operating under this MOU
agreement as follows:
A. As per DepEd Order 033 s. 2021 Sec. 5, only in cases where there is no other
available place or structure which can be use as a general evacuation center may a
school or child development center be used as an evacuation center,
B. The use of school premises shall be as brief as possible. It shall only be up to three (3)
days for short-term displacement, fifteen days for medium and long-term
displacement, or until such time that the respective LGUs are able to establish
alternative transitional sites,
C. If there are evacuees in the school the barangay will provide the relief, foods, etc.,
D. Support the evacuees for the transportation,
E. Any item that lost or destroyed by the evacuees, it will be replaced or supplied by the
barangay funds,
F. The barangay council will provide personnel to secure and to control the activities of
the evacuees inside the school premises, and
G. The barangay council will help with the school to inspect the facilities after the
disaster
II. PURPOSE AND SCOPE
B. DURANO INTEGRATED SCHOOL and BARANGAY CAGAT-LAMAC, agreed
with the following term and condition of the school.
 The organization of this MOU is responsible for its own expenses related to this MOU.
There will/will not be an exchanged of funds between the parties for task with this MOU.
III. RESPONSIBILITIES
The party Mr. Gerso S. Geralla as the official contact and coordinate the BARANGAY
DRRM with the leadership of Mrs. Ramelita G. Lawas and councilor representative Roberto
Laum the initial appointees of B. Durano Integrated School are:
 SDRRM Team & SDRRM Brigade
 MARGIE C. QUIAPO – School DRRM Coordinator (Elementary)
 SONNY REY M. CALVO – School DRRM Coordinator (Secondary)
The B. Durano Integrated School agree to the following tasks for this MOU:
 Proper distribution of goods
 Monitoring of the serviceability of the equipment
 Conduct Inspection of ALL Building

BARANGAY CAGAT-LAMAC will:

 Provide the GOODS for Evacuees
 Maintain peace and order in evacuation site
 Monitor the proper utilization of the equipment given

IV. TERMS OF UNDERSTANDING

The term of this MOU is for a period of November 13, 2022 until the BARANGAY
CAGAT-LAMAC, still existing and maybe extended upon written mutual agreement. It shall
be reviewed atleast, annually to ensure that it is fulfilling to its purpose and to make any
necessary revisions.

Either organization may terminate this MOU upon (30) days written notice without penalties
or liabilities.

Authorization:

The signing of this MOU is not a formal undertaking, it implies that the signatories will
strive to reach to the best of their ability, the objectives of this MOU.
