MUNICIPAL DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 2 S. 2023

“A RESOLUTION ENDORSING TO THE SANGUNIANG BAYAN FOR REVIEW AND

APPROVAL OF THE LIST OF PRIORITY PROJECTS TO BE FUNDED FROM THE CY 2020
COLLECTION OF EXCISE TAX PURSUANT TO RA 7171 AND RA 8240 AS AMENDED BY
RA 10351 AND RA 11346 AND SUPPLEMENTAL INVESTMENT PROGRAM #2, CY 2023 IN
THE AMOUNT OF NINETEEN MILLION TWO HUNDRED FIFTY-FIVE THOUSAND FOUR
HUNDRED SEVENTY PESOS AND FIFTY-FIVE CENTAVOS ONLY (PHP 19,255,470.55)

WHEREAS, the Chairman of the Municipal Development Council, Honorable Emmanuel S. Mugot,
presented to the body the list of priority projects to be funded from the CY 2020 collection of excise tax
pursuant of RA 7171 and RA 8240 as amended by RA 10351 and RA 11346 under Supplemental
Investment Program #2, CY 2023 in the amount of Nineteen Million Two Hundred Fifty-Five Thousand
Four Hundred Seventy Pesos and Fifty-Five Centavos only(Php 19,255,470.55)

WHEREAS, the following projects have been identified and endorsed by the Municipal Tobacco Excise
Tax Board to wit:

MOOE & SPA

Aid to Farmers – Purchase of Fertilizers 8,000,000.00
Aid to Farmers – Cattle Fattening 4,000,000.00
Capital Outlay
Construction of School Building 7,255,470.05
Total 19,255,470.55

WHEREAS, after thorough study and evaluation, it was moved by Honorable Jim Jamis and severally
seconded, it was;

RESOLVED, as a body to hereby resolve to adopt and approve the allocated share from the CY 2020
collection of excise tax pursuant to RA 7171 and RA 8240 as amended by RA 10351 and RA 11346
11346 under Supplemental Investment Program #2, CY 2023 in the amount of Nineteen Million Two
Hundred Fifty-Five Thousand Four Hundred Seventy Pesos and Fifty-Five Centavos Only (Php
19,255,470.55)

RESOLVED FINALLY, to furnish a copy of this resolution to the Sangguniang Bayan of Gitagum for
further review and approval.

WE HEREBY CERTIFY, that the foregoing resolution was duly approved by the Municipal
Development Council held on February 6, 2023, at the SB Session Hall.
