Summary
Water Pollution is an article written by the Thank You Ocean highlights how pollution
contaminates water and how it affects people. It lists the sources of pollution and how it gets to the
ocean. Furthermore, it states how it affects citizens, connecting it to daily life.

Strengths
The article focuses on the cause and effect of water pollution, which arguably is the 2 most
important parts. It clearly explains how both are linked, and dedicates at least a paragraph to each
cause or effect, making sure that the information is conveyed. Moreover, it reinforces many of its
data with other articles and data resources.

Weaknesses
The article focuses on the pollution of oceans, and not freshwater. Because of the scope of
the data given is rather narrow so using the article for non oceanic pollution research will be difficult.

Relevancy
Unfortunately the article focuses solely on the pollution of oceans and how it affects wildlife
and beaches. In terms of drinking water it shows how it pollutes the water, but does not show the
effects. However, if the report were focused on how pollution affects wildlife or the ocean, the article
would be well suited.
