Over spring break, you are responsible for reading an annotating the rest of act 2 scenes 3-6 and act 3 scene 1 of Romeo and Juliet. There will be a quiz and I will be collecting your annotations when you come back, so read carefully. You will be find the script of the play on schoology. You will need to print Acts 2 and 3 or find a way to annotate digitally that you can hand in. (I suggest a hard copy). There will also be an audiobook version of the play posted on schoology, which you a welcome to use. What you should be reading for: - Plot: What moments are important for driving the plot forward? Are these moments created though actions or words? - Characterization: Friar Laurences motivation for allowing Romeo and Juliet to get married. How and why do Tybalt and Mercutio die? - Unknown Words: If you dont know a word, look it up!! I will be pulling vocabulary from the play for your quiz. - Other: What do you find interesting about the play?
