Beginning May 22nd through June 16th, St.
Johns will be delivering Meals on Wheels.
Many volunteers are needed to pick up
meals at the Senior Center @ 10:45 am and
deliver them within the community. It takes
about 60-90 minutes to deliver the meals,
depending on the route. Route maps are
available in advance so you are able to
acquaint yourself with the area. Please
consider delivering for a 5-day week.
Everyone is encouraged to help with this
ministry. You can sign up on todays

July 28th: Mercy Meals Fundraiser
at 2006 Hillview Drive from 7-10 PM.
Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a concert
by Bennie and the Jets, a Tribute to Elton
John. Advance tickets $50. One hundred
percent (100%) of ticket sales goes directly
toward the purchase of the raw materials needed
to pack Mercy Meals. For more information and

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
The Northeast Nebraska Continuum of Care
a group of human service providers in the
area will host Project Homeless Connect,
an event designed to help address the needs
of individuals and families in the area who
are experiencing homelessness or near
homelessness. It will take place from
1-6 PM on Friday, June 23, at Norfolk High
School. The event will feature a multitude
of agencies at one location providing a wide
range of free services from haircuts to
mental health treatment. People can apply
for housing assistance, physicals, eye
exams, dental assistance, and a hot meal
that day. Free daycare will be provided. If
you would like to know more or volunteer,

We are in need volunteers to
be team leaders for Day Camp
starting with Sunday
evening, June 18th
(orientation time to be
announced) and then Monday
through Thursday, June 19-
22 (8 AM 4 PM) and Friday, June 23 (8
AM 2 PM). We also need volunteers to be
registration helpers, parking lot attendants
at arrival and dismissal, kitchen help for
snack time and lunch and host families for
3-4 camp counsellors from Camp Carol Joy
Holling. If you are interested or have
questions, please mark the registration slip
in today's bulletin or call Jolene

VOLUNTEER SCHEDULE
A new schedule is being prepared for
summer (June through September) for all of
our worship volunteers. If you would like to
try something new or change from your
current serving capacity, please let the
office know as soon as possible.
As always, we look for your assistance in
filling blanks in the service schedule as well
as finding substitutes to help if you are
going to be gone.
We are in need of all helpers young and
old! Please consider adding this to your list
of ways you can help by serving your
congregation on a monthly basis.
