The Puzzle Master

Farida, I have noticed you have a strong interest in puzzles. You are drawn to the puzzle area
every morning as you enter the classroom. Every week we rotate the puzzle around and you
would challenge yourself to complete each and every one of them. Today was a bit different,
Teacher Lynda brought in a new Princess Sofia puzzle set. You were blown away with it and
was excited beyond words. As soon as she laid it on the table, you asked if you could give it a
go. You had a good look at the cardboard box, examining where each piece belonged and
when you were finished you you said Teacher, finish with pride and excitement. It did not
even take you long, MashaAllah!

Farida, you displayed an interest in puzzles. You showed great problem solving skill as
you learn to turn puzzle pieces until they fit. You were being exposed to language
around this process and you showed great focus, engagement and perseverance to reach
your goal. Well done, Farida.

Farida, perhaps next time we could explore different puzzles to develop and extend your
problem solving skills.
