Practicum Observation
I observed Amber in a classroom full of bright and jumpy
kindergarteners. Their teacher explained the task to the students and
Amber did a great job assisting the teacher. She was polite and
attentive. She addressed students, as she needed, in order for them to
listen to instruction and get to where they were suppose to go.
Amber ran the math center where she sat with 4-5 students and
led them in a game where they were to count on with pennies. She
immediately knew what students were on task and what ones were
not. She changed seats a few times to break up arguments and she
guided all students at the table to successfully achieve the activity.
She helped struggling students and used key words that the teacher
uses as well to show consistency. She encouraged the students to think
and play the game at the center.
I see Ambers dedication to the school. She knows most people
she passes and loves the classroom she is in. She is finding her way in
education and doing a wonderful job at it!
