Anne meets her class

Dora Jessie, best known by the pen name Miss Read, was an English novelist,
by profession a schoolmistress. Her pseudonym was derived from her mother's
maiden name. She is best known for two series of novels set in the British
countryside – the Fairacre novels and the Thrush Green novels.
The text is about the first meeting between Anne and her class. The
headmistress Ms Enderbay presented new teacher to pupils. From begining Ms
Lacey gave a watery smile. When young teacher was left alone with her class a
chaos started. Anne didnt want to shut them down because she remembered the
advice ''to stand quiet and calm''. In a few moment she took action and roared a few
times to the kids to take their place to the desks and with a plesurable shock the
children turned attentive eyes upon her.
The title ,,Anne meets her class,, is suggestive and gives us information about
what the text will be.
The Introduction is about first meet between Anne and her class.
The complication is stimulated by the headmistress, because she talk with new
teacher in an imperative tone and Anne can not alone make her acquaintance with
her students.
The rising action can be presentantion Arnold to new teacher and the
difference between opinions because Ms Enderbay presented him like kid crossing
his eyes and showing other ugly gestures, but Miss Lacey saw in this apple-cheeked
child an inocent and nice little man.
The climax begin when the headmistress left the class and the children run
across the room, they attacked each other and Arnold took off his pullover.
The falling action consists of remembering some advice from college ,,to
stand quiet and calm'' but everything was in vain.
In denouement she shouted ,,To your desks!!!,, and within a minute order had
returned.
The plot structure is closed with Ann's introduction establishing an
exposition. The action in the story taking place in classroom. In the text prevailing
description of pupils, naration and dialog between Miss Lacey and headmistress.
The mood is distinct from the paragraph to the paragraph, starts with shame,
suspense, tension continued with meditation, nervousness and ends with plesurable
shock.
The theme can be relation of pupils with teachers and teachers interactions,
because in the text is show this relationship.
We have to create our own plans to reach the goal, just like Anne managed to
get her position in the class- is the main Idee.
The Author caraterized indirect the characters. Anne is the main character, she
is described like a young, inexpirienced, confidence teacher,, Anne gazed back,
feeling helpless/gave a watery smyle” . She she is responsible and
obedient ,,... with sudden relief some advice given her at college injust such a situati
on’’, but in the end has shown a stronger character to stop the noise ,,To your desks
and quickly, she roared’’
The antagonist is Miss Enderby, a headmistress. She is sure in her powers and
thinks everyone needs to listen to her, including teachers
"Perhaps you could say 'Good morning' to your new teacher?
"suggested Miss Enderby in animperative tone/ I should give out paper andcoloured
pencils," said Miss Enderby,,as soon as you've called the register .Keep them  busy
while you're finding your way about the cupboards and so on."
Pupils also are important characters, because they show the relation beetwen
teachers and lernens ,,A dozen or more children made a rush to open the door,,
In the story many stlystic devices are used, wich enrich the story. There are
metaphors ,,Anne roared/ burst of laughter/ watery smile,, most express Anne's
mood.A enumeration "Stand quite still,  be quite calm,  and gradually the children
will become  conscious ,, represent Anne’s hope.
I think this story is very captivating and interesting. We can learn many useful
things. It may be like a life lesson. Is a true and belivible story of school life with
real problems.
