    Aim: To verify the law of conservation of momentum.

    Equipment: air track, card, light gate.

    Method

    1. Determine the momentum before collision.


    2. Use light gate to measure the time taken when it strikes the second card.
    3. Determine the momentum after the collision
    4. Velocity can be determined by using the equation,
    Velocity=length of card/time taken
