Subject: Machine Instructions Project: Printing, Plotting, and Application

This memo is to address the progress made for the week of May 15 th 19th as well as what the plan for
what will be accomplished this upcoming week, May 22nf 26th

Accomplished the week of May 15h 19th:

1. I decided to change from applying the graphics to poster boards to printing directly onto banner
material and putting in metal grommets to hang the banners. This will make them more easily movable
and easier to hang above each machine.

2, Both the Mamaki and Graphtec Adobe Illustrator files have been adjusted to suit the change from
poster to banner material.

Plan for this week, May 22nd 26th

1. Both the Graphtec and Mamaki machine instructions will be printed onto banner material instead of
IJ35

2. Each banner will be taped with banner tape for durability and 3 metal grommets will be applied
across the top and bottom of each banner.

3. The banners will be hung by their metal grommets to piping in front of their respective machines,
easily viewable to the operator.

This is the last week of the project and I look forward to its completion as well as testing to evaluate
the effectiveness of the instructional banners. The banners will be more durable and easier to move from
one place to another than a poster board if the layout of the machines changes. Also, they will be less
invasive to the work space as they wont need to be nailed or screwed to the wall they can just be hung.
