ACTIVIT New Language Data Form PERSON IN Micah Karl

DESCRIPTION: During Team meeting, I presented a language data form that I created
to help establish baseline and show progress of children with language delays. I
explained how to use and what information you can obtain by using it. I answered
questions and gave a copy to my colleagues. This supports the ISLLC Standard 2
because it provides an assessment system to help monitor student progress.

DESCRIPTION: I presented my coaching log to my supervisor. I identified instruction
that was good within my session as well as identifying behaviors that I need to work on.

ACTIVIT Breastfeeding Training to PERSON IN Micah Karl

DESCRIPTION: I spent a week in Omaha, Nebraska taking a class so that I could take
the test to get my certification for Lactation Counselor. I provided a breastfeeding
training to my colleagues so they may provide breastfeeding support to the families that
they work with. This supports the ISLLC Standard 2 because I lead this in-service
training.

DESCRIPTION: This summer I will be a mentor for a teacher in the district who is
working on her Masters degree in Early Childhood through Emporia State University. I
meet with her to review expectations, sign forms, and create a summer schedule. This
supports ISLLC Standard 2 which supports supervision of instruction and develop the
instructional and leadership capacity of staff as well as Standard 4 because I am building
and sustaining productive relationships with other community partners.

DESCRIPTION: I contacted and communicated with the California team who was
taking a student that I served. I provided information and collaboration to ensure the
transition would be seamless without a delay in services. This supports ISLLC Standard
4 because it mobilizes resources and builds relationship with the family and new team.

DESCRIPTION: I met with Nancy from OCCK to meet with a student that I serve to
identify new equipment needs and exchange the equipment that he no longer is using.
This supports ISLLC Standard 3 because it helps to obtain and utilize technological
resources.

DESCRIPTION: I met with my one member of my team to review what information
she would like presented to the K-State CCD for the Project IMPACT daycare in-service.
We created an outline and reviewed what copies we would need for the presentation.
This supports ISLLC Standard 4 because it promotes the success of the other teachers and
students by collaborating with team members.

DESCRIPTION: I presented at the site council meeting. The topic was Summer Camps
and kid activities available this summer. I also created a handout of the activities, prices
and websites so parents can find the information and register if they are interested. This
supports ISLLC Standard 4 because it builds and sustains relationships with families,
caregivers and community partners.

ACTIVIT Collaboration with Doctor PERSON IN Micah Karl
Y Hearing Letter CHARGE
DESCRIPTION: I evaluated hearing for a child on multiple occasions with a result of
refer for each hearing screening. I followed the guidelines set forth by the state and I
wrote a letter to the doctor to request a referral to the ENT. This supports ISLLC
Standard 4 because I am collaborating and building a relationship with community
partners, ISLLC Standard 5 because it ensure accountability for the students success by
following the state guidelines to write the letter to the doctor to request an ENT referral.
I am also demonstrating ISLLC Standard 6 as I am advocating for children, families and
caregivers by sending the letter to the doctor.
