English 6 Novel Study

Visual Response Project

We have been working with a novel The Mystery at Yellowstone
National Park for the past few weeks. You will now work in groups to
recreate a scene from the novel. Working in groups, made by
yourselves, a scene will be assigned completely at random for your
group to visually represent. You will then post the series of photos or
video you create to a Google My Map created for this class. Working
together as a class, we will recreate the entire novel visually which
we can see on the Google My Map. The completed project will be due
at the end of the novel study, approximately two weeks from now.
You will be given class time and some technology to work with.

Your project must include:
A series of photos (minimum 5) or a video of assigned scene
Details about the scene that prove a thorough understanding
of the text
Every member of your group playing a role in the visual


You will be graded according to the following elements:

Refined Quality of Visual /10
Representation of Scene /10
Use of Class Time /5
